Hi Rod, seriously considering upping my membership to annual so I was wondering if there were any plans in the pipeline to provide written notes or even a transcript to accompany the Masters Analysis program so that it could be referred back to.
Hi Garry … we haven’t planned to do transcriptions of videos but something we may consider once we get the new members stablisied and up and running to our satisfcation
This analysis is really good to share Rod, helps beginners like me…thanks.
Thanks for watching David … the full Master Analysis will go into more depth of the chosen artist each month. Excited about this project
Hi Rod, Enjoyed the taster and looking forward to the full analysis. I’m also really excited about you considering doing a composition course. Sounds wonderful.
Thanks Pam … im excited about the Masters Analysis program as well. Yes definitely the Composition course is in the works.
Thank you so much for your analysis of this beautiful painting. I’m sure it will be very helpful in my painting.
Thanks for watching Gayle
Looking forward to this.
Thanks for watching Shelly. Should be a good learning exercise for all of us
Actually this is not a high key painting. It uses the full range of values, as does all of Streeton’s work. A high key painting is a painting created using values that are all in the light ranges, such as many of the later works of Monet.
Thanks for watching Jeff
I learned so much in just a few minutes and I really love Streeton’s style. I was amazed by the use of the really vibrant pink/purple colors. Do you think that color was actually there in the subject that day? If not, I’m so glad he added. I’m really looking forward to more studying along these lines. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it helped Gladys … Im sure he saw the purples in the shadows and so on.
Definitely the direction I would love to go with my artwork.
Yes he did some great work. Something to aspire to
This is a awesome painting by Mr. Streeton. All the little nuances he has incorporated give it the look of a masters painting to me. Like you noticed the softness around the trees, the little shades here and there along with the fence and the person at the top of the hill. This is what I want to practice and achieve….I love pantings with beautiful trees in the country landscape paintings. Oh, the colors of burgundy, wine, oranges and pinks are all so together with the creamy apricot of the bank. Just beautiful. Thanks for sharing Rod.
Glad you enjoyed it Valerie
Even in brief very informative
Thanks for watching Jan
Thank you for the introduction to Arthur Streeton. I don’t know how many of us Canadians have heard of his work. It is a gorgeous painting. I enjoyed how you broke the painting down!
Thanks for watching Susan … yes he was not that well known outside of Australia, although he enjoyed some success when he lived in the UK
Thank you, really something to think about and absorb. Most of my paintings tend to be darker than I’d like and this was certainly eye opening. As a Canadian I hadn’t heard of Streeton but I love this painting.
Glad you found it useful Sandy. In the more detailed analysis of his work we break down a number of techniques he used to create stunning landscapes
