Join me on the Sunshine Coast this November 16th to 17th for a 2 day Impressionist Seascape workshop (with an option for a 3rd day painting plein air)

We will be painting a terrific seascape scene from Bribie Island with the Glass House Mountains in the background. The photo reference show its a beautiful sunny day with sparkling water, lots of people on the beach and plenty of atmosphere to the distant mountains. Its a great subject to paint.

This workshop over 2 days will suit beginner to intermediate level artists and can be done in Oils, Water Mixable Oils or Acrylics.

You can book in for the 2 day workshop which will be indoors at the Yandina School of Arts ... but for those really keen you can take the option to join me on the Monday 18th for a one day plein air workshop on the beach in the Sunshine Coast following the 2 day workshop.

The optional 3rd day of plein air painting will help you further practice what you learn during the 2 day workshop.

If you wish to join us for the optional 3rd day then select that option when registerting.

Rod Moore is a contemporary Australian landscape artist.

Rod has taught hundreds of students to paint in his workshops and 120,000 plus online through the Learn To Paint Academy. He is the creator of the Moore Method of Painting which is an easy 5 step process for learning how to paint.

The workshop is suited to the beginner to intermediate level painter. In order to make sure that adequate time is spent with each student through the three days Rod has decided to limit the number of registrations.

This way you can be sure that there will be plenty of personal instruction from Rod.

During his demonstrations Rod will be walking you through how to apply the Moore Method of Painting to the subjects being painted.

No refunds are given for cancellations within 30 days of the start of the event. Cancellations outside of the 30 day time frame will incur a $47 administration fee.

Answers To Frequently Asked Questions

Q/ How To Get To The Sunshine Coast

A/ The Sunshine Coast is about 1 1/2 hours north of Brisbane via The Bruce Highway.

If coming from interstate you can fly into Brisbane airport and hire a car from the airport. It's an easy drive up the Bruce Highway.

Alternatively you can fly to Maroochydore Airport and hire a car from there. The Maroochydore Airport is on the Sunshine Coast.

Q/ Accomodation On The Sunshine Coast

A/ There is plenty of accomodation options on the Sunshine Coast. The venue is in Yandina so booking accomodation in the Coolum / Yandina option.

Try booking via Air BnB or one of the online accomodation sites like Booking.com

Don't leave it until the last minute though as the Sunshine Coast is popular.

Q/ Weather On The Sunshine Coast

A/ November is the start of the stormy season the Sunshine Coast so expect warmer humid temperatures. The venue is not air conditioned but does have a large ceiling fan and the ability to open all the windows. However it will be warm so dress appropriately.

For the optional plein air day we will start early however it can still get hot on the beach.

Q/ Do I Need To Bring My Own Equipment and Materials

A/ Yes you will need to bring all of your own painting supplies to the workshop.
