Float Frames For Artists

As a professional artist one of the things I find challenging is finding quality frames that are ready made. Generally custom frames cost too much, but finding quality ready made frames can be a challenge.

In particular I have been looking for more contemporary float frames to suit standard size canvases.

In conversation with my friend Tom Parsons of Outside The Square he explained that float frames can’t be easily shipped unless they have a canvas attached to support the frame. Without the canvas the frames are easily damaged in transit.

Tom has been making custom made quality round frames for artists in Australia for a few years. I first met Tom when doing workshops at Art Shed Online in their Moorabbin store and have always found him to be a great guy.

So I asked him if he could put together some Float Frames with a canvas attached and a price list for various sizes.

As you can see these are quality hand made Float Frames with a great contemporary look for the current market.

I will definitely be ordering these for an up-coming exhibition later in the year.
