Painting In The Footsteps Of The Impressionist's

Paint The Same Scenes As Cezanne & Van Gogh

We will be painting in the footsteps of two of the most famous Impressionist / Post-Impressionist artists of all time ... Paul Cezanne and Vincent Van Gogh. These are two artists who need no introduction and have gone down in history of two of the all time master artists who each changed the direction of painting in their own way.

Paul Cezanne was an Aix-En-Provence native. Even though he spent time in Paris with the Impressionist artists and exhibited with them, he returned to his home town and built an art studio in town where he did some of his best work. We will be taking a walking tour of the city and finding some of the iconic locations and sites that were part of the world Cezanne.

Vincent Van Gogh was at his most productive when he moved to Arles (a city about an hour away from Aix-En-Provence). It was in Arles when Van Gogh painted with Gaugon for a period of time, before checking himself into the Asylum where again he produced a large volume of paintings. We will be visiting Arles and the Asylum and painting in the same locations as Van Gogh.
