Great to have you join us for it. Below is all the information you need to get the most out of the challenge.

Start Here <<< Do This First
To get you set up correctly for the challenge make sure you start here with these action steps:
Action Step 1 - Register For The Facebook Group
The Challenge will be run via the Facebook Group. So you will need to register to join the group. After requesting to join the group please wait until the group admin approves your registration (this process is not automatic so please be patient)

This page is going to have ALL of the information you need for the challenge.

When ever you have any question at all just come back to this page using the above link and all your questions will be answered right here for you. Everything you need to know will be here :)
Action Step 3 - Invite Your Artist Friends To Join Us

Note - During the Free challenge you will have access to the live sessions and recordings. If you wish to have access after the challenge is finished then consider upgrading your account to Life Member with Full Access:

The "Great Acrylic Painting Challenge" Live Challenge is 100% FREE to take part in.
You will have access to the recordings via the Facebook Group until the challenge ends and the Facebook Group is closed on Monday 11th April. Once the challenge ends the complete "The Great Acrylic Painting Challenge" program will be available to full members of the Learn To Paint Academy.
Note - The Opportunity to become a life member at this price is limited and only available a couple of times each year
Art Supplies
Here are the art supplies you will need for the challenge:
Paints
Rod's recommended acrylic paint is Atelier Interactive. Note - You can also use oils or gouache to complete the challenge if you prefer.
Here is the palette we will use (Bold colours are our standard palette):
* Ultramarine Blue
* Cerulean Blue
* Alizarin Crimson
* Cadmium Red
* Yellow Ochre
* Cadmium Yellow Light or Lemon Yellow
* Pthalo Green or Viridian Green
* Burnt Siena
* Titanium White
Brushes
You can use which ever brushes you feel comfortable with. Rod uses a minimal amount of brushes:
* 2 x 1" Flat Synthetic Brushes
* 2 x 1/2 or 1/4" Flat Synthetic Brushes
* 1 x Small Rigger or Script Line Brush
* 1 x Medium Palette Knife
Painting Surfaces
Use which ever painting surface you like - Stretched Canvas, Boards (prepared with Gesso), Loose Canvas, Canvas Pads
Size - Either 12 x 16 or 16 x 20"
We will have 1 warm up painting projects and 3 main painting projects so you will want at least 5 surfaces to work with
Mediums
Rod does not use a lot of mediums in his painting... however he suggests the following:
* Bucket of water
* Retarder (if using acrylic paints)
* Solvent or Thinning medium for oils
* Fast drying Medium for oils and water mixable oils
